Handcrafted Lampwork and Sterling Art Jewelry Information
The unique jewelry designs on these pages are made with our own handcrafted lampwork beads, as well as our own handmade coiled and twisted sterling silver wire beads, dangles and clasps, which we hand make and hand hammer. We combine our handcrafted lampwork beads and handmade sterling silver components with unusual and interesting handcrafted sterling silver beads from India, Bali and Israel. The result is designer jewelry that is completely handmade!
Our lampwork bead and sterling silver bangle bracelets are heavy and substantial, and can withstand quite a bit of wear. Our lampwork glass beads are kiln annealed overnight to ensure strength and durability. And, the beads are set on a base of heavy solid sterling silver, not on crimped wire or elastic cord. We owe a debt of gratitude to Connie Fox, an incredibly talented jewelry artist, for teaching and sharing the silversmithing techniques we use to craft our bangle bracelets. Her techniques, so generously shared, have enabled us to provide sturdy, beautiful and unique bracelet settings for our original lampwork beads!
Looking for a way to show off your favorite lampwork beads? It's fun to hide them away in a secret stash where no one else can see them (see, we know all about our fellow bead-a-holics :) but it's even more fun to wear them! Make sure to see our Bead Showcase Sterling Bangle Bracelets and our Bead Showcase Sterling Chokers. We will make these with either your beads or ours!
We will also turn any bead of ours (or yours) into a pendant for you, using sterling silver wire and a sterling silver chain or satin cord. As an example, here is one of our lampwork heart bead pendants on a sterling chain. We can also add your favorite bead as a dangle to one of our beautiful, handmade sterling silver "curly chain" bracelets. Here's our handmade curly chain bracelet with one of our large "Blue Eyes" lampwork beads.
